Our Process

Step 1

Discovery

Step 1

Discovery

“A ship may be safe at shore, but that’s not what a ship is built for.”

The first, and perhaps greatest, task in any journey is to decide where to go… and why. In our first meeting, we’ll get to know you and ask about your hopes and dreams. You may have a grand plan for retirement, or you may never envision really retiring… Thinking about the future can be daunting, but we can help you focus on the next best goal you need to set course for.

You’ll be the Captain of this adventure, and all Captains need a competent and courageous crew. We will work with your accountants, lawyers and other financial professionals in order to provide the absolute best strategy possible. During our discovery meeting we will ask you for detailed information about your current investments and insurance as well as your employment or business ownership. Not only are we interested in who you are on paper; we want to discover your ideology of money management and set a strong foundation for a long-lasting beneficial relationship. We’re here to sail into the sunset with you, not just to give you directions and wish you luck.

Step 2

Analysis

Step 2

Analysis

“Set your course by the stars, not by the lights of every passing ship.” Omar Bradley

Using the information provided in the discovery meeting, we will carefully assess your current situation and begin to construct a “MAP”. As a certified provider of the Macro Asset Perspective planning tool, we will create an easy-to-understand snapshot of your current situation and identify current or potential obstacles to a successful journey.

We believe in diversification among asset classes as well as tax treatment, and seek to chart a course that provides protection as well as the most net spendable income during retirement.*

Step 3

Strategy Presentation

Step 3

Plan Presentation

"To reach a port we must set sail- sail, not tie at anchor.  Sail, not drift." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

Once we've gathered all of the necessary information regarding your unique journey, we will present you with a strategy.  Using our tools and calculators, your course will be charted and we will determine together when we will set sail.  As with all well-planned journeys, we will account for changes that may occur in your family and to your lifestyle.

Step 4

Implementation

Step 4

Implementation

“We must free ourselves of the hope that the sea will ever rest. We must learn to sail in high winds.” Aristotle Onassis

Hope won’t put wind in your sails… action will. Once we’ve agreed on a charted course, we will clearly describe the steps to take in order to get underway. We will handle as much as possible on our end, but may need your response and cooperation to put the shore behind us. During this part of the process we may handle applications and accounts electronically as well as in person, and once the strategy as outlined is in place we will meet one more time to address any loose ends and provide you with a clear, organized, written customized solution.

Step 5

Tactical Maneuvering

Step 5

Tactical Maneuvering

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Sit back and relax as we sail; my team will keep an eye on the sea and the sky. We will contact you every six months for updates and to evaluate your progress. Along the way, should we discover an opportunity or observe an obstacle, we will contact you. And of course, we know that life can change quickly and completely alter the course or the destination. We are always available to meet with you to make changes as necessary.
